Biggest gay bar in the world
Celebrate all the way from Tulsa to Tokyo. If you visit West Hollywood, you absolutely have to go to The Chapel. It's a bear bar that's super low-key and not pretentious. Both the staff and the clientele are nice AF. Quite possibly the best gay karaoke bar on the planet. The food is great, the bartenders are amazing, and it's impossible for me to go there and not have a great time.
It's literally the back half of another bar; you get to it via an alley. They are some of the best forms of entertainment I've ever seen. Everyone there is so supportive, and they work hard to showcase different artists and their various talents. I've stopped by many times to have a drink and relax when I'm in NOLA because of the awesome chill vibe.
It's magical. Everyone is just so nice; it feels like a quirky neighborhood pub that just happens to be an ancient gay bar. Great bar upstairs with music and dancing, plus drag shows on Saturday nights. They also do a great toys fundraiser during the holidays. One room has a full stage, and there are drag shows every night.
Definitely worth a visit if you're in the area. The people are always friendly, and the drinks are always flowing. I love it there. Look call me old fashioned but: Stonewall.

I live in NYC and it's my go-to bar. It's broken up into two floors. The upper floor hosts events drag shows, bingo nights, etc. It's normally very low-key and relaxed — a good place to have a drink without the music drowning out your conversations. You can also see the sign saying "Raided Premise" right by the door.
The drinks are ridiculously cheap, and the clientele is amazing. It's off the beaten path, but it's my happy place. I miss it every day. They are always hosting events throughout the week, such as open stage nights, drag shows, and karaoke! Every time I'm there I feel like I'm part of a big family where everyone is just super gay.
